Life is often far from plain and simple, straying away from the familiarity of Vanilla. 

Sophie’s Hairdressing career began over thirteen years ago, starting at Vanilla Hair and Beauty. 

When life took an unplanned turn for Sophie leaving her with a diagnosis of CROHNS along with a burst bowel, the motivation to pursue her dream began to grow. 

Instead of continuing simply dreaming, Sophie stopped saying “One day I will have this” as she looked around the Salon and she chased her dream.

Sophie has been the Salon owner at Vanilla hair and beauty for over three years. As someone who is always keen to develop and grow within working in the industry, throughout her career Sophie has often attended the latest hairdressing courses available. Furthering her personal education to excel her passion for her career – Sophie is an all-rounder when it comes to hairdressing but prides herself in creating beautiful bespoke hair ups and flourishing fashion colours.  

A personal belief in the benefits of self-care is why Sophie chose the beauty industry. Helping those around her simply feel and look beautiful by having a simple nail treatment or going all the way and having a completely new hairstyle transformation. Sophie understands these things can help change and reshape a person’s world. Understanding that our beauty standards and expectations changes as we progress as human beings. Beauty lies within all of us whether we reflect society’s “standards” of beauty or not.
